Obidos lagoon (Lagoa de Óbidos)
Obidos lagoon is on the Silver Coast of Portugal, just to the north of the town of Peniche. The lagoon has a perfect mix of reed beds, marshes, mud flats, inflows from the sea and from rivers - the mix of wildlife this brings is stunning.
The lagoon is my ‘happy place’. As soon as I arrive there everything else melts away, and being in nature takes over.
