Behind the shots
For me, what makes one photograph more precious or more valued than another is not the technical aspects of an image - it is the experience. In my mind wildlife photography is about the process, the engagement with nature, the enjoyment of being out in the environment, much more than it is about the end photo. Wildlife photography has taught me so much - how to be still in the present, how to be patient, how to look. In these pages I reflect on the experiences behind the shots.

Three generations
I have photographed three generations of kingfishers use this bridge as their morning fishing spot. And I am looking forward to seeing many more generations to come.
